Flamengo secured a commanding victory over Remo on Sunday (6) at the Mangueirão in the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship. Samuel Lino struck in the second half with an assist from Arrascaeta to hand the Rub-Negro three crucial points.
With the result, Flamengo moved to the top of the table. The side maintains both the league's best attack, with 50 goals scored, and sturdiest defense, allowing just 21 goals—level with Palmeiras, who hold a game in hand.

Flamengo controlled possession from the opening whistle and created early openings. In the first minute, Arrascaeta tested from distance. At the fourth minute, Pedro released Samuel Lino down the left, whose cross found Carrascal, but his header sailed over.
The visitor kept up the pressure and manufactured chances through Pedro, Arrascaeta, and Samuel Lino. At 27 minutes, number 16 received in the box and struck low, only for goalkeeper Marcelo Rangel to produce a crucial save.
After the interval, Flamengo maintained their intensity. Samuel Lino rattled the crossbar just three minutes in, and Pedro squandered another opportunity shortly after, again thwarted by Rangel.

The result also extended their unbeaten run against this opponent to ten matches—nine victories and one draw. At the Mangueirão itself, Flamengo remain perfect with six wins from six, scoring 11 and conceding just two.
