Maracanã is expanding its hospitality business model ahead of the 2027 season with the announcement of a third consecutive Electronic Suite Auction and the introduction of a dedicated digital platform for space management throughout the year.
The key innovation will be the ability for suite holders to commercially sublease unused seats in their box during specific matches. This tool will enable more efficient suite management during the season and increases flexibility for one of the stadium's premier premium offerings.
The model's evolution follows strong demand from the first two auction editions, held annually for Maracanã suite rights. The 2027 season will be offered through electronic auction on October 27 in a fully online process. The tender documents, including lot numbers, reserve prices and participation terms, will be released on September 10.
According to Fred Nantes, Maracanã CEO, the third edition marks a new chapter in consolidating hospitality as a core business division for the venue.
"We've arrived at a third edition with a well-established product, and now we want to advance in how these spaces are managed throughout the season. The new platform gives suite holders greater autonomy and flexibility while increasing efficiency in our box utilization. It's an important evolution for our hospitality model," Nantes stated.
The auction will again be conducted by Golden Goal and will follow the framework of previous editions, featuring real-time bidding and mechanisms designed to ensure transparency and competitive process integrity.
