Arrascaeta Marks 200 Appearances for Flamengo at Maracanã

Arrascaeta added another page to his Flamengo legacy on Thursday evening, reaching 200 appearances for the Rio de Janeiro club at the Maracanã during the Copa Libertadores quarter-final against Independiente del Valle. The Uruguayan midfielder not only made the milestone but marked it with a goal, securing the side's passage to the semi-finals.

The achievement echoes one claimed by teammate Bruno Henrique just five days earlier. On Sunday, Henrique netted in his 200th outing for Flamengo at the same venue in a Brasileirão clash with Corinthians, underscoring a period of remarkable consistency for the club's star performers.

Across 200 matches at the Maracanã, Arrascaeta boasts a commanding record: 147 victories, 38 draws and 15 defeats, accumulated with 61 goals and 66 assists to his name. His journey in the Rubro-Negro began on 29 January 2019 in a Copa Carioca victory over Boavista, a 3-1 triumph where he played the full 90 minutes as a starter.

In nearly eight complete seasons with Flamengo, Arrascaeta has compiled 390 total appearances with 252 wins, 82 draws and 56 losses, along with 107 goals and 114 assists. His 18 major trophies place him alongside Bruno Henrique as one of the most decorated players in the club's modern era.

The Uruguayan stands as the foreign player with the most appearances and goals in Flamengo's history. In the Brasileirão, he ranks second on the all-time goalscoring list with 80 strikes — only Petkovic's 83 surpass him — while commanding the current squad's record for games and assists. In continental competition, his 71 Copa Libertadores matches represent the most by any Flamengo player in the tournament's history.

His trophy cabinet spans three Libertadores titles (2019, 2022, 2025), three Brasileirão championships (2019, 2020, 2025), six Copa Carioca crowns, three Copa do Brasil victories, three Supercopas do Brasil and one Recopa Sudamericana.

Individually, 2025 proved a banner year. Arrascaeta was named King of America by El País, won the Copa Libertadores Best Player award, claimed the Ballon d'Or for South America, captured the Golden Ball for Best Midfielder and was voted Brasileirão Standout Player by the Brazilian Football Confederation.
