Following the team competition – which saw Brazil finish fifth on Wednesday afternoon (21) – Flávia Saraiva, Lorrane Oliveira and Rebeca Andrade turn their focus to the next challenges at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Rotterdam.
The schedule kicks off this Friday (23) at 2:30 p.m. local time. Flavinha and Lorrane will compete in the all-around final. It's worth noting that the pair achieved a podium sweep recently at the Brazilian nationals. The event brings together the best gymnasts from the competition across all four apparatus.
On Saturday (24), starting at 9 a.m., it's Rebeca Andrade's turn to take center stage in the vault final. The Olympic medallist and global gymnastics icon is pursuing another triumph on the international stage. Closing Rubro-Negro's participation in the finals, Flávia Saraiva competes in the balance beam – one of her specialties – also at 9 a.m. on Sunday (25).
With the trio's presence and young Gabi Bouças as alternate, Flamengo reinforces its prominence in the sport and showcases the excellence of its programme, combining experience, talent and renewal.
