Flamengo announces Manto da Nação finalists; voting opens today

More than 8,000 designs captured the passion in colors, lines, and stories. Supporters from across Brazil rose to the challenge: imagine the Manto da Nação, a kit created by the fans, for the fans to wear.

Today, after a nationwide movement that captured the imagination of the entire nation, Flamengo unveils the 10 finalists for the Manto da Nação and places the final decision in the hands of the Nation itself: choose which design will become reality.

Each of the 10 finalists was selected by a curatorial team. Beyond creativity and Rubro-Negro identity, every kit tells a story—nods to Flamengo's legacy, the stands, Rio de Janeiro, club triumphs, and the countless ways this passion is lived.

Now, the power returns to those who started it all. Public voting is live and runs through August 30, when the Nation will decide which of the 10 projects becomes the next Manto. Cast your vote at: mantodanacao.flamengo.com.br.

Adam Costa – Prestígio Urbano

Imperatriz, Maranhão

Flamengo's history and unique identity. Its curves, streets, the sea—from grandeur to simplicity. Gold eternizes glory; the King Vulture displays its might. A Nation born in the streets, ready to conquer the world, bearing the pride of Rubro-Negro.

Alison Douglas – Noite Eterna De Lima

Teresina, Piauí

One night. One Nation. One eternity. Inspired by Lima's atmosphere in 2019, this kit celebrates a passion across generations. Black carries tonal graphics inspired by the Copa Libertadores. Gold represents glory. Red carries the Rubro-Negro flame and two historic goals. At the base, the Nation celebrates beneath a starlit sky. A sophisticated, symbolic, and unforgettable Manto.

Antonio Rodrigues – É Urubu

Rio de Janeiro, RJ

The "É Urubu" Manto tells the story of a taunt that became part of Rubro-Negro identity—a symbol of pride and belonging. Today, millions wear this history together, carrying our origins, our victories, and the shine of glories yet to come.

Bruno Gondim – Urubu Rei

Rio Grande do Norte, RN

Inspired by the King Vulture, a symbol of strength, protection, and dominion, this kit embodies Flamengo's essence. Off-white represents elegance and tradition, while black and red carry the Rubro-Negro fire. A kit designed to soar high and honor the Manto and its legacy.

Daniel Barbosa – Respeita O Rei

Fortaleza, Ceará

Inspired by the vulture, one of Rubro-Negro identity's greatest symbols, the "Respeita o Rei" graphic features a geometric composition that subtly and abstractly forms the bird in flight, embodying supporter pride and belonging, as well as Flamengo's grandeur.

Luiz Gomes – Uma Força Da Natureza

Rio de Janeiro, RJ

Dubbed "Uma Força da Natureza" (A Force of Nature), this Manto honors rowing and the waters of Guanabara Bay. It features a gradient from black to red, water-movement graphics, and the CRF centered. The Vulture exalts the Nation that rewrote the history of unmatched passion.

Marcelo Gluz – Urubu De Lima

Rio de Janeiro, RJ

Two thousand years ago, the Nazca civilization carved monumental geoglyphs 500 km from Lima. A legend born in 2019 suggests one design—a colossal Andean vulture—is an ode to the gods of football, forging an unbreakable bond between Flamengo and Lima. This kit carries symbols of that covenant and honors two Rubro-Negro Libertadores won in that city.

Marcos Junior – Manto Real

Vitória, ES

Flamengo is the only club that calls its jersey a Manto—a royal garment. We've woven royal brocade from Vulture feathers, traced in embers and stitched with the gold of 1895. Others wear shirts. The Nation wears the Manto.

Stephany Dalzisa – Traços De Uma Nação

Betim, Minas Gerais

Rio's contour lines became the shirt's own threads. Every map relief becomes a chapter of Flamengo's story, from coast to hillsides. The Vulture carries these curves on its wings, soaring across borders, never forgetting its roots. Born in Rio, but the world became its home.

Vitor Ferrara – Pluma

Volta Redonda, RJ

Wearing this kit is more than carrying the vulture symbol: it's becoming part of it. Feathers envelope the Manto like a second skin, turning identity into presence. In black and gold, the supporter ceases merely to represent Flamengo—they become the vulture.

The choice belongs to the Nation

More than choosing a new kit, the Manto da Nação places the supporter in a different role: not just as someone who wears Flamengo, but as someone who helps create it.
