Flamengo has completed its South American Games Santa Fé 2026 campaign with an impressive medal tally to celebrate. Of the 40 club athletes competing in Argentina, 37 reached the podium at least once. Across all individual achievements by Flamengo representatives, the haul totalled 62 medals: 25 gold, 21 silver and 16 bronze.
Medals came in artistic gymnastics, swimming, judo, rowing, beach rowing, synchronized swimming and water polo. Standout performers included Gabriela Bouças, who claimed three medals in artistic gymnastics; Beatriz Tavares, who reached the podium in four of the rowing events she contested; Stephan Steverink, owner of six swimming medals; Marcelo Gomes, a two-time judo champion; plus the rubro-negro representatives who helped Brazil secure both the men's and women's water polo titles.
The numbers become even more striking when ranked by medal table format. Counting each event once, as in country-by-country standings, Flamengo athletes were involved in 33 podium finishes: 13 gold, 12 silver and eight bronze. With this performance, if Flamengo were a nation, the club would rank ninth on a hypothetical South American Games medal table, sitting between Ecuador and Paraguay.
In total, 92.5% of Flamengo athletes present at the Games claimed at least one medal, underscoring the strength of rubro-negro Olympic sport on the continental stage.
