Joint statement from Flamengo and Grêmio

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense report that, since the start of this year, they have jointly advocated a criterion for sharing the audience revenue set out in the contract signed between Globo and the Libra clubs, one that recognises each club's capacity to generate economic value.</p><p>This work was key to Flamengo, Grêmio and the other Libra clubs reaching an agreement last weekend that ends the dispute over the distribution of audience revenue, a portion corresponding to 30% of the total fixed remuneration set out in the broadcast rights contract through to 2029.</p><p>The understanding reached represents a balance between the model advocated by Grêmio and Flamengo and the position of the other Libra clubs. The joint effort of all parties was decisive in building a consensus solution.</p><p>The agreement ensures that, over the 2026 to 2029 period, Flamengo and Grêmio will increase their shares of the audience revenue compared with the previously proposed model, securing additional income for both clubs.</p><p>Flamengo and Grêmio reaffirm their commitment to building a strong, sustainable league aligned with the best international practices, stressing that dialogue, institutional responsibility and the ability to find common ground are fundamental to the development of Brazilian football.
