Sesc RJ Flamengo defeats Brasília away and maintains unbeaten start

Sesc RJ Flamengo claimed a 3-0 victory over Brasília Vôlei in its first away match of the Superliga Feminina season on Friday (October 23rd), maintaining a perfect record with a straight-set win (25-15, 25-18, 25-22) at the Federação de Voleibol do Distrito Federal (FVDF) gymnasium. The Rubro-Negro, which defeated Paulistano Barueri in its season opener, improved to six points and holds the top position in the standings.

In the Federal District capital, Bernardinho's squad received strong crowd support and displayed control throughout the match. Opposite hitter Tainara led all scorers with 16 points and earned the VivaVôlei Award as the match's outstanding player.

"Laís had an important message before the match," Tainara explained. "She reminded us that in games like today's, we need to take responsibility against our opponents. We must think not just about beating them, but about surpassing ourselves and continuing to evolve. I was pleased with my performance in the first set. Later, I know I made some mistakes—that's part of volleyball and we'll keep working to improve. But everyone deserves credit. The substitutions worked well too. The players coming off the bench made a huge difference."

The Rubro-Negro returns to action on Saturday (October 31st) at 18:30 to face Batavo Mackenzie at Tijuca Tênis Clube, with broadcast on SporTV2.

As the Superliga's most decorated champion with 12 titles, Sesc RJ Flamengo topped the podium in the 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons (both in Curitiba), 2005/2006, 2006/2007, 2007/2008, 2008/2009, 2010/2011, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 (in Rio de Janeiro).
