Flamengo drew 1-1 with Bahia on Wednesday (9) at CT Evaristo de Macedo in the 16th round of the Brazilian U-17 Championship. João Vitor Couto opened the scoring for the Garotos do Ninho, but Fábio Ryan levelled in the closing stages.
With the result, Flamengo extended their unbeaten streak to 12 consecutive matches in the competition, accumulating seven victories and five draws, and now sits on 27 points.

Match report
The opening period proved competitive and balanced, with both sides creating chances. The second half followed a similar pattern, with the teams trading periods of attacking threat.
In the 36th minute of the second half, Thomas Robson delivered a free kick from the left wing and found Paulo César, who headed into the box for João Vitor Couto near the goal line. The number 10 controlled with his chest and finished to break the deadlock: 1-0.
With the goal, João Vitor reached 20 strikes for the season, 13 of which have come in the Brazilian U-17 Championship. The striker is Flamengo's leading marksman in the category and is currently tied for the competition's golden boot with Lucca of Corinthians, who have yet to play their fixture this round.
Bahia pushed for an equaliser in the dying moments. In the 47th minute, Fábio Ryan received outside the box and fired a low drive into the left corner to level proceedings: 1-1.
