Flamengo finalizes loan agreement for Mexican player Diego Reyes

It's now official: Mexican Diego Reyes is the newest addition to Flamengo's youth academy. Acquired from América-MEX, the striker signed a contract at the George Helal training center after undergoing medical exams.

Flamengo negotiated with the Mexican club the acquisition of Reyes on loan until the end of the year. It is worth noting that the entire transfer process with FIFA and the CBF was carried out within the transfer window period, as stipulated in the regulations and the International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

In the under-20 squad, led by coach Bruno Pivetti, the 18-year-old Mexican will continue his development process and compete in competitions such as the Brazilian Championship, the Copa do Brasil, and the Carioca Championship, among others. The striker is the fifth reinforcement for the under-20 category for the 2026 season.
