Flamengo Exits Brazilian Championship as São Paulo Advances to Final

Flamengo's campaign in the 2026 Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino came to an end on Saturday (19 September) following a 1-0 defeat to São Paulo in the semifinal second leg at Estádio Brinco de Ouro da Princesa in Campinas. The result confirmed São Paulo's passage to the final and eliminated the Rubro-Negro from the competition.

Calling on their attacking resources from the opening minutes, Flamengo attempted to overturn the 3-1 aggregate deficit built during the first leg and pressed their opponents in search of the goals required to shift the momentum of the semifinal tie.

São Paulo, however, proved composed in their control of the match, securing victory through a clinical finish and protecting the advantage established in their first meeting. With the win, the Tricolores secured their berth in the Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino final.

Flamengo concludes their campaign among the last four teams in the championship, capping off a run that marked the club's return to the women's Brasileirão semifinal.
