Anthony Valencia joins Flamengo

Flamengo has confirmed the signing of Anthony Valencia from Belgian side Royal Antwerp. The 23-year-old Ecuadorian forward has signed a contract through 2031 and will wear number 14 at the Rio de Janeiro club.

Born on 21 July 2003 in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Valencia was developed at Independiente del Valle before joining Royal Antwerp in 2022. During his four years in Belgium, the left-footed striker scored 13 goals and provided four assists in all competitions.

Valencia was part of Ecuador's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

"I hope to be on the pitch soon and to count on the support of the fans. I will give my best to bring joy to the club. You can count on me," the player said.
