Bruno Henrique reaches 600-game milestone: 'Never imagined it'

Bruno Henrique has reached another significant milestone in his career. At 35 years old, the striker completed his 600th professional match on Sunday against Red Bull Bragantino (2-1 victory) in the Brazilian Championship.

"When I started at Uberlândia, I never imagined reaching a mark like this. That's a lot of games," said the forward.

Born in Belo Horizonte, Bruno Henrique began his career at the Minas Gerais club before playing for Itumbiara, Goiás, Wolfsburg (Germany), and Santos before joining Flamengo in 2019. He made his debut for the Rubro-Negro on January 26 of that year against Botafogo in the Carioca Championship. In his first match, he made an immediate impact, scoring both goals in a 2-1 victory.

Since then, in 386 matches for Flamengo, number 27 has registered 121 goals and 61 assists, alongside 237 victories. During this period, he has won 18 official titles, becoming one of the players with the most trophies in Flamengo's history, alongside Arrascaeta.

Among his achievements are three Copa Libertadores titles, three Brazilian Championships, six Carioca Championships, three Copa do Brasil Super Cups, two Copa do Brasil crowns, and one CONMEBOL South American Cup.

"My most memorable moment at Flamengo was scoring my 100th goal against Vasco in the 2025 Carioca Championship semi-final. Reaching 100 goals in this shirt is truly special, and it helped us qualify for the final," highlighted Bruno, who launched an official club merchandise line at the beginning of the month that has already become a bestseller in matches at the Maracanã.

Bruno Henrique also ranks among Flamengo's greatest goalscorers. With 121 goals, he is the club's third all-time leading scorer in the 21st century. With 60 goals in the Brazilian Championship, he is the third highest goalscorer in Flamengo's history since the introduction of the points system and the fourth overall in the competition's history, behind only Zico, Pedro, and Gabriel Barbosa.

In 2019, his first season with the Rubro-Negro, the striker was named the Brazilian Championship's standout player and the CONMEBOL Libertadores' best player. In the continental title campaign that ended a 38-year drought for Flamengo, he scored five goals and provided five assists.

In total, Bruno Henrique has logged 600 matches and 171 goals across his career, playing for six clubs and the Brazilian national team. For Flamengo, 386 appearances and 121 goals; for Santos, 88 matches and 20 goals; for Goiás, 59 games and 13 goals; for Uberlândia, 35 matches and 10 goals; and for Itumbiara, 13 games and seven goals. At Wolfsburg, he made 17 appearances, while earning two caps for Brazil.

The 2026 season has also been special for the attacker. Bruno Henrique has featured in 42 matches wearing the Rubro-Negro shirt, scoring 11 goals and registering eight assists.

In the Copa Libertadores, where Flamengo reaches the semi-final against Estudiantes, the number 27 has become the club's leading scorer in the competition with five goals and two assists across 672 minutes and nine appearances. The striker is chasing the six-goal tally he achieved in the 2021 edition.

In March this year, Bruno Henrique also extended his contract through the end of 2027 and was informed that he will receive a bust at Gávea on the club's anniversary, November 15.
