In celebration of Children's Day (October 12), Flamengo will take to the pitch on Monday (26th) against Atlético-MG in the 32nd round of the Brazilian Championship, wearing a special Sacred Mantle. The players' uniforms will feature names and numbers drawn by children in an initiative that combines football and social responsibility to support the work developed by participating organizations.

Carried out by the club since 2019, with the exception of 2024, the action invites children served by partner social institutions to draw the names and numbers of the professional squad's athletes.
After the match, the uniforms are returned to the participating institutions, which can use them to raise funds through auctions and raffles. This way, the initiative contributes to maintaining activities and strengthening social projects developed by the organizations, while giving children the opportunity to leave their mark on the shirt of their beloved club.
"Football transforms, and this action proves it. We invited children from social institutions to leave their marks on our match shirts, and now this mantle gains even greater value. Returning these uniforms to the institutions is not just a gift—it's an opportunity to generate income and strengthen projects that make a difference every day in so many people's lives", highlights Camila Nascimento, Head of Social Responsibility at Flamengo.
Beyond the social impact, the initiative also brings a curiosity related to Flamengo's sporting performance. Since the first edition in 2019, the Rubro-Negro have played nine matches with names and numbers drawn by children on their shirts and remain undefeated. The record stands at eight wins and one draw.
The sequence began in 2019, with victories over Athletico-PR, 2-0 away, and Atlético-MG, 3-1. In 2020, the Club's beloved side defeated Goiás 2-1, drew 1-1 with Red Bull Bragantino, and also away from home, thrashed Corinthians 5-1.
In 2021, Flamengo overcame Juventude 3-1. The following year, they beat Atlético-MG again, this time 1-0. In 2023, victory came over Vasco, also 1-0. In the most recent edition of the sequence, in 2025, the Rubro-Negro defeated Botafogo 3-0 away from home.

This year, the initiative involves six social organizations from different regions of Brazil. The selection seeks to expand the project's reach by including organizations from Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina and Goiás, as well as institutions from Rio de Janeiro and Amapá.
The work has the support of the Embassies and Consulates of the Rubro-Negro Nation, which indicate partner organizations to participate in the action. This way, Flamengo leverages the mobilization of its fans in different locations to get closer to social projects and contribute to the communities they serve.
