THREE-TIME CHAMPION! Rebeca Andrade shines again and secures gold in vault at Artistic Gymnastics World Championships

Ladies and gentlemen, the Queen has made history once more! In fact, SHE IS HISTORY! On Saturday morning (24th), Rebeca Andrade delivered another brilliant performance and claimed her third consecutive World Championship title in vault at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, held in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

With two world-class routines, the Rubro-Negro athlete secured the gold medal with an average score of 14.666 points – 14.400 on her first vault and 14.133 on her second – and stepped atop the podium to continue cementing her legacy as a sporting legend.

This achievement carries even deeper significance. With this result, Rebeca has become the second gymnast in history to win three world titles – her previous victories came in Kitakyushu (2021) and Antwerp (2023) – matching the feat of China's Cheng Fei, who won in 2005, 2006 and 2007. Additionally, she is the first Brazilian to claim three world championships in the same event.

It is also worth noting that the greatest of all time has now reached her tenth medal at World Championships. Combined with her six Olympic medals, that totals 16 podium finishes across gymnastics' two most prestigious competitions, reinforcing her rightful place among sport's greatest icons.

Following her victory, the Rubro-Negro star spoke to SporTV, celebrating her gold and discussing the atmosphere inside the arena during her performances.

- This achievement shows that everything we've been doing the right way is paying off, you know? I didn't perform my most difficult vaults of my career, but that was enough to bring home the gold and I'm very proud. I hear everything, but I'm a calm person, so I just breathe and trust that I'm ready. That's what I do in the moment – she said.

Rebeca Andrade continues to assert her dominance – she now stands in the exclusive top-10 all-time list for individual World Championship medals – delivering unforgettable moments for Flamengo and for Brazil. The world applauds, the nation rejoices, and the celebration is, and always will be, Rubro-Negro.
