Flamengo beat Vasco 2-1, in a comeback, at Maraca, and goes to the Carioca final

It's Mengão! On Saturday afternoon (8), Flamengo took to the field to face Vasco, at Maracanã, in the second leg of the semifinal of the Campeonato Carioca, winning 2-1 and securing qualification for the grand final. Nuno Moreira opened the scoring for the opponent, but Bruno Henrique and Luiz Araújo scored for the Mais Querido and secured the victory. It's worth remembering that Flamengo could lose by up to one goal and still qualify. Now, Mengão awaits the winner of the match between Fluminense and Volta Redonda, who face each other this Sunday.

Game
Flamengo dominated from the start and created the best chances. In the opening minutes, Bruno Henrique had one and Arrascaeta another. Soon after, another. This time, Varela failed to capitalize. Léo Jardim saved Vasco. The opponent capitalized and opened the scoring with Nuno Moreira.

But Vasco's lead didn't last long. Flamengo remained dominant. Léo Ortiz attempted a header, but the goalkeeper saved it. Shortly after, Bruno Henrique, the King of Classics, put it in the net: 1-1. It was his XNUMXth goal for the Sacred Mantle. And another against Vasco, his biggest victim.

Gerson then nearly turned the game around. He controlled the ball one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but instead tried to tap it in. Vasco's defense recovered, and the score was tied at halftime.

Flamengo returned from the break with the same rhythm. They were on top of their opponents. In the opening minutes, De La Cruz sent a low corner kick to Arrascaeta, and the number 10 fired over the bar from the edge of the box.

The game cooled down until the 24th minute, when Plata received a pass from Gerson and shot, but the goalkeeper saved it. On the rebound, the ball fell to Luiz Araújo, who lined up and hit a powerful shot to turn the game around. 2-1 Mengão.

After the goal, the Mais Querido began to control the game and only let time run out to seal the victory. The game ends, and the Rubro-Negro advances to another Carioca final.
