Flamengo gymnasts represent Brazil in international competitions ahead of World Championships

Flamengo's artistic gymnastics programme will once again have representation from Brazil's national team. Five female athletes from the rubro-negra squad will compete in the country's upcoming international fixtures: Gabriela Bouças and Júlia Coutinho will compete at the South American Games in Santa Fe, Argentina, while Rebeca Andrade, Flávia Saraiva and Lorrane Oliveira will represent Brazil at the Szombathely stage of the World Cup in Hungary.

The first challenge comes in Santa Fe. The artistic gymnastics competition at the South American Games will take place between 13 and 16 September, bringing together some of South America's leading names. Gabriela Bouças and Júlia Coutinho are part of Brazil's female team and will have another opportunity to represent their country at a major international competition.

Attention then turns to Hungary. Rebeca Andrade, Flávia Saraiva and Lorrane Oliveira depart on 13 September for the Szombathely World Cup stage, scheduled for 18–20 September. Olympic medallists and key figures for Flamengo's gymnastics programme, the three athletes have been preparing with Brazil's national team in Rio de Janeiro. The competition will also mark Rebeca's return to a World Cup stage after more than two years away.

September's fixtures form part of preparation for the season's main objective: the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands, in October. With athletes competing across different stages of the Brazilian national team's calendar, Flamengo remains one of the sport's leading forces in the country and focused on the biggest international challenge of the year.
