Rebeca Andrade declares her love for Flamengo: “My second home”

Rebeca Andrade is not only one of the biggest names in world gymnastics; she embodies grit, talent, and passion for Flamengo. Since joining the club in 2011 at age 12, the athlete has built a successful career, accumulating historic titles and elevating Mengão to the top of the podium. More than just medals, Flamengo has become a part of her life, shaping her career and identity.

"Flamengo is my second home. It's where I graduated, which is why I love representing the club and being with people who make a difference. Flamengo has been that in my life."

The connection between Rebeca and Flamengo transcends the colors red and black. It's a relationship built on sweat, dedication, and the unconditional support of the nation. Whether it's national or international competitions, the Flamengo fans are always present, offering affection, waving flags, and ensuring that Rebeca is never alone.

"It's amazing! Especially at competitions, there's always someone there. No, seriously, it's really cool! And when the red-and-blacks carry the flag, they show all this affection, this support, and the confidence they have in us. It motivates us to wake up early, train well, keep training, guiding a new generation, and being a good role model. The support means a lot to us," said the gymnast.

Every vault, stunt, and medal won carries a fragment of this story. With talent and tireless determination, Rebeca repays this love with displays of excellence, inspiring new generations of gymnasts and fans.

Her journey to becoming Brazil's greatest Olympic medalist is marked by impressive achievements. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she made history by winning the gold medal in vault and silver in the individual all-around. At Paris 2024, Rebeca expanded her legacy by winning four medals: gold in floor exercise, silver in the individual all-around and vault, and bronze in the team event. With a total of six Olympic medals, she established herself as the Brazilian athlete with the most medals at the Games.

At Flamengo, Rebeca Andrade didn't just find a club. She found a family. And, with the nation at her side, she continues to make history.
