Flamengo's Deliberative Board has approved the "Professionalism" statute reform, which formalizes the professional management model implemented by the current administration under president Luiz Eduardo Baptista, Bap.
The reform makes permanent the separation of governance, supervision, and operational execution. A dedicated Professional Directorate—staffed by paid executives selected on technical merit—will handle the club's day-to-day management, while governance bodies retain strategic oversight, accountability, and final approval authority on major decisions.
The proposal secured backing from 92% of the 696 voting board members and is now enshrined in Flamengo's Statute.
