Flamengo have unveiled a special shirt on Friday (6 November) to honour Black Consciousness Day, celebrated on 20 November. For this edition, the protagonist is Bruno Henrique, one of the club's greatest idols and a name that has already secured his place among the Black figures who shaped Flamengo's trajectory.
Since arriving at Flamengo in 2019, Bruno Henrique has built a story of achievements, prominence and connection with the supporters. Known as the King of Derbies, he became a central figure in some of the most important moments of one of the club's most successful generations. His journey also represents the continuity of a history written by great Black athletes who, in different eras, helped make Flamengo what it is today.
This vision inspires the new kit. Entirely black, the shirt features a tone-on-tone print formed by a silhouette of Bruno Henrique in one of his most characteristic celebrations, arms spread wide and body arched upward. The repetition of silhouettes creates a pattern that resembles an arrow pointing forward — a symbol of evolution, achievement and, above all, of paths opening for those who come next.

The neckline features stripes in reference to the traditional bands of the Rubro-Negro shirt, connecting the special edition to Flamengo's historic identity. The piece also displays Bruno Henrique's signature embroidered on the chest, alongside the number 27, plus a badge with the inscription "King of Derbies". On the back, the silhouette of his celebration appears at the nape of the neck. A label referencing Black Consciousness completes the uniform's details.
In choosing Bruno Henrique, Flamengo celebrate more than a player and his achievements. They celebrate a Black figure who is already part of the club's history. A history built by different generations in which talent, representation and legacy walk together.

The image of Bruno Henrique multiplied across the shirt also reinforces a collective dimension of this journey. No story is built alone. Each generation carries the contribution of those who came before and, in securing its own space, helps open new paths for those to come.
Combating racism is a permanent commitment for Flamengo, formalised in their Statute in 2025 and present in actions developed by the club across different areas. During Black Consciousness Month, the new shirt is also a way to recognise the fundamental contribution of Black men and women to the construction of Flamengo's history and Rubro-Negro identity.
Bruno Henrique is already part of this story. And at 35, he continues writing new chapters in the Manto.
