Sesc RJ Flamengo faces another crucial test as the squad prepares for the 2026/2027 season. Just a week after lifting the Copa SuperVôlei trophy, Bernardinho's side takes on Dentil Praia Clube once again this Saturday, October 3, at 7 p.m., competing for the All-Star Game championship. The match will be broadcast live on Flamengo TV.
Still in development mode, the Rubro-Negro remain grounded despite their strong opening and continue training with intensity to build consistency match after match. The opportunity to connect with their loyal supporters across Brazil continues to fuel the squad's motivation.
"This week we've done our utmost to fine-tune aspects of our game," said central blocker Lorena. "There's still plenty of work ahead—service, the interplay between blocking and defense. But there's nothing better than facing a quality opponent like Praia to understand where we stand. I love discovering Brazil, and it will be special to feel the support of Rio Grande do Sul fans."
Sesc RJ Flamengo remains without Serbian central blocker Minja Osmajić, who is recovering from a fractured third finger on her right hand, and outside hitter Karina, who continues rehabilitation following a right ankle fracture.
Last week in Niterói, the Rio team won both of its opening matches of the season. The first came against Fluminense, 3 sets to 1, and the second against Dentil Praia Clube in a tie-break, securing the Copa SuperVôlei crown.
