Erick Pulgar Extends Flamengo Contract Until 2029
Chilean midfielder penned fresh terms with Rubro-Negro after four seasons of consistency and silverware

Flamengo confirmed on Wednesday that Erick Pulgar has extended his contract with the club through 2029. The Chilean midfielder put pen to paper alongside director José Boto, securing his future at the Mais Querido. Since arriving in August 2022, Erick has established himself as a cornerstone of Flamengo's midfield. His debut came on August 28, 2022, in a 1-0 victory over Botafogo in Matchday 24 of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Over four seasons, the 32-year-old has made 172 appearances, recording 107 wins, 39 draws and 26 defeats, plus six goals and nine assists.

Born in Antofagasta, the Chile international has been present in some of Flamengo's most significant campaigns: - Campeonato Carioca: 2024, 2025, 2026; - Campeonato Brasileiro: 2025; - Copa Libertadores: 2022, 2025; - Supercopa do Brasil: 2025; - Copa do Brasil: 2024; - Dérbi das Américas FIFA: 2025; - Copa Challenger FIFA: 2025; - Troféu do Algarve: 2026.

Pulgar has earned 54 caps for Chile and scored four international goals, including the Copa América triumph in 2016. With his new deal secured, the midfielder reflects on the moment and his future at the club: "Truthfully, I'm very happy. This is what my family and I wanted. The time I've spent here, the work I've put in and the perseverance I've shown have made me the player I am today. Most importantly, the love of the fans is the greatest reward I have.", Erick said.
