Sesc RJ Flamengo have travelled to Paraná for their second away fixture of the Superliga Feminina season. On Friday, November 6 at 7.30pm BRT, Bernardinho's side will face Sancor Londrina at Ginásio Moringão as they bid to stay top of the table in matchday four. With nine points and an unbeaten run of sets behind them, the Rubro-Negro are chasing the leadership currently held by Sesi Vôlei Bauru, who have a game in hand. The contest will be broadcast live on ge tv.
Following victories over Paulistano Barueri, Brasília Vôlei and Batavo Mackenzie, the Rio side's squad and coaching staff have built impressive cohesion heading into a challenging away test. Although Sancor Londrina sit ninth in the standings and remain winless this campaign, Flamengo know the dangers of facing a side at home.
"Our start to the Superliga has been very special, not just because of results but because of the connection we're building in every training session and every match. We have a very focused group and we know the big challenge is to maintain this consistency throughout the competition. Sancor Londrina are a team of great quality, both in defence and attack, and they grow when playing in front of their crowd. We need to come in focused and execute our tactical plan well," said centre Lorena.
Opposite Tainara and outside hitter Simone Lee have been the attacking standouts for the Rubro-Negro after three rounds. The Olympic gold medallist from Paris 2024 with the Brazilian national team sits fifth in the Superliga scoring charts with 46 points, while the American ranks seventh with 41 kills and also occupies fourth place among top attackers with a 50.7% efficiency rate.
The club's record 12 Superliga titles came across two eras: 1997/98 and 1999/2000 (both in Curitiba), 2005/06, 2006/07, 2007/08, 2008/09, 2010/11, 2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2016/17 (all in Rio de Janeiro).
The Rubro-Negro opened the 2026/27 season with wins at the Copa SuperVôlei in September and the Campeonato Carioca in early October.
