Sesc RJ Flamengo trio clinches South American title and Olympic qualification with Brazil

Brazil's women's volleyball team concluded its South American Championship campaign in style, securing both the continental title and a place at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. After opening victories against Venezuela and Peru, the Seleção swept past Colombia, Chile and Argentina in the final—each by 3-0—to finish with five wins and zero sets dropped.

Head coach José Roberto Guimarães' squad claimed Brazil's 24th South American crown with a dominant campaign. The Sesc RJ Flamengo trio played a decisive role throughout. Central Lorena, who started in the opener, added four points against Colombia, while Tainara contributed six points in the Chile encounter, including two blocks. Vivian also featured across the tournament, appearing in Brazil's impressive victory over Chile.

Tainara elevated her impact in the title decider against Argentina. Starting opposite, the Rubro-Negro player netted 11 points in the straight-sets win—26-24, 25-19, 25-16—and delivered the final point of the championship, clinching the celebration before the Maracanãzinho crowd.

With the trophy in hand, Tainara, Vivian and Lorena complete their South American Championship with an unbeaten record and Olympic berth secured for Los Angeles 2028. Brazil's flawless run—five matches, 15 sets won, zero dropped—affirmed South American dominance and confirmed the nation's early qualification for the next Olympic Games.
